Shrink’s Log:
Motivational Comedy
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself facing personal and professional circumstances for which I was unprepared and untrained. Rather than fear or despair, I opted to find the hilarity in the situation and allow laughter to heal and encourage. In what I’ve termed ‘motivational comedy’, I created a series of videos called “Shrink’s Log”, detailing with observational humor the life of a clinician going through everyday routines during this unique time. The videos are designed to bring comic relief, joy, and a fresh, optimistic perspective.
In early 2022, the show transitioned to a post-COVID world, officially rebranding as “Shrink’s Log with Dr. Matt”. Two or three episodes are released each week, including the feature, “Ask Dr. Matt” in which yours truly answers your questions on life, faith, mental health, and more. Video episodes are available on Facebook and YouTube. Audio-only is available on podcast platforms Spotify, Apple Podcast, and RSS Feed.
